Sweat Classes

Classes are taught in a temperature and humidity controlled studio. By adding heat you get the additional benefits of detoxification (plus lots of other great stuff). Also, warming up your muscles allows non-bendies to become far more flexible so they get more out of the class (it’s like magic!).

Not everything is taught at Sahara-level temperatures though, many of our classes are taught at a warm or simply room temperature. Take a look at the icons next to the class descriptions below to see what’s what.

Classes are clearly categorised by how hot the room is, and whether the class focuses on cardio, flexibility or strength. So you know what to expect and there are no nasty surprises. (There’s nothing worse than being asked to perform a yoga move that’s probably better off in Cirque du Soleil when standing on one leg is challenge enough). All of our classes are physically and/or mentally challenging but they’re also straightforward to follow and we take it step by step, so no one is required to contort their body in a way it simply doesn’t bend! Beginners are welcome at all classes marked with the Newbie icon.

SWEAT HOT (Classic & Mix)

The ultimate calorie-busting, complete head to toe, inside and out workout that is guaranteed to make you sweat. Classic classes follow a set posture sequence. Mix classes take that sequence and mix it up a bit. Great for beginners to advanced and for those working through injury/physical limitations (though please note basic mobility is required; being able to stand unaided, get on and off the floor, kneel and sit cross legged). Postures are built up in stages and there's a level for everyone.

SLOW FLOW

In a flow class, postures are connected together to form sequences. Slow Flow is great for Flow virgins and the well-practiced alike. This non-heated class focuses on basic flow poses and movements. Moving slowly through sequences, you'll pay attention to alignment and technique. A great class to build confidence for newbies and to get back to basics for frequent Flow-ers. Not advisable for those with injury or physical limitations.

SWEAT FLOW

A dynamically moving flow class with the added challenge of the heat, Sweat Flow is our most demanding class. A great high energy, fast moving, all-round strength, flexibility and cardiovascular workout that will really get your heart rate pumping. Not recommended for yoga newbies and/or those with injury/physical limitations.

FLEX (& Restore)

If you’re worried about standing on one leg, then this is the class for you. Floor based exercises designed to stretch your muscles and work into connective tissues. Fantastic for all levels. Particularly those keen to work on their flexibility only. With the addition of Restore, classes also involve breath control work and light meditation to promote lung function, reduce stress and anxiety, and bring mental clarity and focus. As the class is taught on the floor, long periods of time are spent sitting or kneeling.

REVIVE

This intimate class allows for one-on-one attention. Easy to follow yoga poses with a focus on alignment and breath. Working through yoga sequences, you’ll have the opportunity to break down poses to ensure the correct balance between strength and flexibility. A great class to develop your yoga know-how and achieve a full body workout.

BLISS

Held the last Friday in every month, Bliss combines our Slow Flow and Flex classes and takes it down a notch. Set to music and taught in candlelight, the class starts with a warm mellow flow designed to ease tension, followed by a series of deep stretching, restorative postures. It's perfect for ridding you of your week day stresses and setting you up for the weekend. Not suitable for those with injury and/or physical limitation

Pilates

Activate your core and fix your posture with our Pilates classes. A great complement to our yoga sessions and a little less sweaty. The perfect way to combat all the downsides of sitting at a desk all day. Classes target key muscle areas to build strength, core stability and control. Suitable for all levels.

Sunday 90 minute Special: Headstands, handstands and arm balances

Keen to go upside down and learn some party tricks? This monthly Sunday Special allows you to do just that; it's a chance to play with postures and surprise yourself with what you can do. Combining a flowing yoga practice with partner work, head and handstand practice and some playful arm balances, it's an ideal class for having some fun. Not recommended for yoga newbies and/or those with injury/physical limitations.

Sunday 90 minute Special: Rest, renew, restore

Join us once a month for an afternoon of chilled out bliss and kiss goodbye to stress and anxiety. This Sunday Special begins with a simple, restorative yoga practice to get your mind and body relaxed and free and closes with yoga nidra, also known as "yogic sleep". You'll achieve the deepest possible state of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness, exploring the depths of your sleep cycles to leave you walking on air.

ONE-ON-ONE

Could your postures benefit from some fine tuning, is your body a bit wonky and in need of some individual attention? Perhaps you just don’t like crowds. Our one-on-one sessions can be scheduled for 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes and are held in our private studio.
