Sweat Studios has teamed up with health consultant Optimia Health to deliver a brand-new workshop designed to teach people how to take control of their health through diet.
‘How to eat healthily’ is a two-hour workshop which will take place on Sunday 1 March from 12 noon until 2pm at Sweat Studios at The Hub Milton Keynes. It’s open to anyone who would like to come along – you don’t have to have been to Sweat Studios before or even to have tried yoga.
For just £25, you’ll learn how to eat correctly once and for all. Optimia Health and Sweat Studios will cover common misconceptions and answer questions such as: Do I need to eat meat? Should I be giving up dairy? Would it help if I avoided wheat? Why don’t fad diets work? Why am I struggling to maintain a healthy weight? Do superfoods actually exist? Should I be taking supplements?
Optimia Health has been set up by pharmacist and personal health consultant Cornelia Libal, who believes that medicating isn’t always the answer. She wants to educate and inspire people to understand the power of lifestyle changes, and teach them how to build the right habits to get control of their diet, health and weight once and for all.
Sweat Studios owner Kirsty Lowe said: “Cornelia from Optimia Health is straight-talking, just like we are at Sweat Studios. You won’t be bamboozled with jargon. In this day and age we are constantly bombarded with information about what we should and shouldn’t be eating and it’s very confusing. What people don’t realise, is that a lot of the time that information is coming from people with an ulterior motive. For example, the dairy industry might tell us we need dairy, or the meat industry might tell us we need meat. Cornelia is objective and will help you to finally understand what your body genuinely, scientifically needs to thrive.”

Notes to Editors:
At Sweat we want to make everyone feel great! We believe that yoga is the best way to stay fit and healthy and is a workout perfectly aligned to the high stress, sedentary lives we lead today. Our goal is to encourage participation in yoga and we do so by bringing it into the modern world. We leave the gongs, incense and chants at the door to deliver yoga classes which focus on the medically proven health and wellness benefits of yoga. Our instructors are trained by us and we ensure a consistent experience from class to class. We create a community that people want to be a part of and enable them to lead longer, happier, healthier lives.
