Boutique health & fitness studio, Sweat Studios, based at The Hub, Central Milton Keynes, overcame tough competition to pick up two highly coveted awards, Best Employer and Best Customer Service at the Buckinghamshire Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Awards on Thursday 6th April.
These latest accolades mark a month of ongoing celebration for Sweat Studios who were also named Best Small Business in the recent Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards. A title they secured for the second year running.
This is also the second consecutive year that Sweat Studios has been recognised in the Buckinghamshire SME awards. The studio was declared Best Business in Milton Keynes and the overall winner in their inaugural ceremony last year.
Kirsty Lowe, director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised in the SME awards for the second year. We have spent the last year focusing on how we can better train, motivate and retain our employees, putting in place a framework to ensure that everyone can excel in their roles, we’re so pleased to have this work recognised.”
The Best Customer Service award was a new category for 2018 and the only one to be decided by the general public as opposed to the judging panel.
“The customer has always been at the heart of our proposition as evidenced in our Sweat Promise. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, professional, accessible environment that encourages every body to do yoga. We were so honoured to have our members show their appreciation for that by voting for us. None of these awards would be possible without their support.”
Sweat’s ethos is simple; to remove the aspects of yoga that often serve to deter people, the gongs, incense and chanting to encourage more people to practice it, giving everybody the means to live longer, happier, healthier lives. During 2017 they welcomed over 1,500 new clients and continue to outperfom industry benchmarks in customer satisfaction and client retention.
Classes take place in a state of the art, temperature and humidity controlled studio. Sweat specialises in hot yoga which boosts muscle dexterity and detoxification and delivers a cardiovascular workout. However, the studio also caters to those looking for non-heated, gentler classes aimed at promoting overall health and wellbeing.
