At Sweat, we focus only on the postures (also known as poses) and breathing aspects of yoga and leave the gongs and incense behind. We don’t pretend to be gurus and we’re not offering you a life philosophy or a path to anywhere (other than hopefully to a happier, healthier you). 

You don’t need to learn a new lingo, get your leg behind your head or take up chanting. Our straightforward approach to yoga combines a friendly atmosphere with a bright contemporary studio and instruction to suit everybody. Whether you’re 16 or 60, well-practised or a total newbie, have got a six pack or haven’t seen or touched your toes in years, you’ll find something for you.

In Studio

& At Home

You can join one of our Sweat Studios yoga classes in-studio, at home via live stream or as a recording from our on-demand library.

Our class timetable is straightforward and easy to understand. You don’t need to know your Hatha from your Vinyasa or your Yin from your Jivamukti. All of our classes are simply named and virtually all are suitable for yoga newbies. All you need to do is decide whether you want to workout, stretch-out, or chill-out.

WorkOut

Our workout classes give you all the benefits of yoga combined in a gym-style class. You’ll work your strength, flexibility and fitness all in one go. Perfect if you like to feel the burn.

Stretch-Out

Our stretch-out classes are a great option if you’re getting your fitness fix elsewhere and are looking to develop your flexibility to ensure your all-round fitness.

Chill-Out

Looking for some quiet time? Our chill-out sessions ease feelings of stress and anxiety and leave you feeling calm and relaxed.

Pre-Natal Course

Yoga is a great pregnancy workout. It supports the mental and physical changes happening in your body and preps you for childbirth and beyond.  Our pre-natal courses are specifically designed for mums and bumps in their second trimester onwards.

Yoga For Beginners

At Sweat we love yoga newbies. Most of our classes are suitable for yoga virgins. We don’t offer a beginners yoga course because you don’t need one. By keeping yoga simple, teaching easy-to-perform postures, speaking to you in plain English and giving you assistance during class, you’ll get along just fine in our general classes. We welcome anything up to 150 new members to our studios every month, most doing yoga for the first time, so you don’t need to worry, you’ll be in good company and trust us, no matter how inflexible or unfit you think you might be, we’ve seen it all before.

Yoga Benefits

Yoga at Sweat Studios is truly the best exercise you can do; it’s low impact, meaning it won’t stress and strain your joints, in fact, it’ll keep them in great shape, and it’s one of the only exercise forms which will undo all of the downsides of the desk-based, sedentary lives we lead today. It’s a real workout for real life.

That yoga improves your flexibility is well-known, but it has loads of other great benefits too:

Improves your cardiovascular fitness, strength and muscle tone (whereas pumping iron in the gym gives you muscle bulk, yoga builds lean, toned muscle. Great if you want to look healthy and fit without impersonating the Hulk).

Strengthens bones and helps ward off osteoporosis. It also keeps your spine supple, preventing back pain.
