Why not embark on our 30 day challenge this January? It’s a great way to kick start your health and wellbeing goals for 2018. It’s simple, you come and take a class every day for 30 days. Simply write your name on the challenge board, mark off your classes as you go and we’ll motivate you every step of the way. Here’s five reason to sign up:
Learn to put your health and wellness first
We’ve all been there. You’re hungry, tired, busy at work, there’s no shortage of reasons not to do exercise. For the duration of the 30 day challenge exercise simply has to come first. You’ll make changes to your schedule to accommodate it and every time your brain tells you “no”, you’ll have a reason to shout it down. You’ll learn to put your health and wellness first, rather than last.
Gain greater motivation by seeing progression
Progression is a great motivator. You’re more likely to stick to a diet if you see the pounds falling off. Exercise is the same. If you don’t see progression and improvement, you’re more likely to see your resolve waining. Yoga’s like everything in life, the more you put in, the more you get out. Come just once a week and your progress will be slow. Make a date with it every day for a month and your progression will be much more rapid and you’ll be more likely to stick with it for the long term.
Develop better lifestyle habits
If you’re practicing yoga (in particular hot yoga) every day then hydration becomes important. You’ll naturally need to and want to drink more water. Hydration is a key aspect of health and can also help with weight control. Also, as you’re exercising every day, you need to consider what you eat. Your body will want and crave foods rich in nutrients. You’ll need to eat slow releasing complex carbohydrates to give you the energy you need and you’ll naturally start consuming smaller portions more often as you can’t do yoga on a full stomach. All of this will develop good diet behaviours for the future.
It’s the best workout you can do
Our get fit resolve is greatest in January. Why not direct it at an exercise form that will bring you the most benefit physically and mentally. Yoga is a great head-to-toe, inside-and-out workout that gives you everything you’d get from a gym session or a run and more. It will build strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness in a low impact and safe way. It will also protect and strengthen your joints, help with postural problems and reduce your stress, to name but a few of it’s many benefits.
Have and meet a goal
Give yourself a goal. A goal will not only keep you motivated, meeting it will give you a huge amount of satisfaction.
So what’s stopping you? Sign up for our 30 day challenge today!
